Apocalypse Now:
The infamous and famous Apocalypse Now should be on everyone's must visit list. Not necessary the most sophisticated of nightclubs, its color and vibrancy make it a must visit though.

Apocalypse Now has an upstairs and down stairs dance floors which play different genres of music, as well as an outside seating area and a pool-table.

On the downside the drinks are a little pricey compared to other places though (better to top-up somewhere else first before visiting Apocalypse Now), and there can often be a lot of working girls here.

Lush:
About ten minutes walk from Apocalypse Now, Lush is a world away in terms of vibe. Lush has a more modern and hip decor compared to Apocalypse Now, and tends to attract a younger more stylish crowd.

With an inside balcony and lounge area the DJs here play a range of the latest hip-hop, RnB and pop tunes. It pays to arrive a little early as Lush can get rather busy after ten during the weekends.

Bounce Club:
This place is popular with the locals during the weekends, but if you are really into hip-hop this is a great place to visit, as they have an "I Love HIP HOP" night every Saturday.

Located in the Parkson Plaza you need to enter through the department store car park, and then go through a bowling alley before you finally arrive.

Not the easiest of entrances but it is worth it, the decor is stylish and they have a great sound system to go with the great music.

MGM:
This is another one of those nightclubs that are great if you want to meet the locals on their own turf.

With a cafe on the ground floor, there is a nightclub on the third and fourth floor. If you just want to people watch the fourth floor acts as an internal balcony where you can watch all the goings on the dance below.

It tends to attract a younger crowd, and is often filled with young guys with fashionably spiky hair and designer jeans, and girls in tighter than tight dresses.

Gossip:
Gossip is a two level bar located in the Dai Nam Hotel, about 10 minutes from the tourist area in Pham Ngu Lao.

Having said that you might want to dress up a bit before going, Gossip has a reputation for being popular with celebs and models, so you don't know what local movers and shakers you might end up having a drink with.

Like a lot of clubs gets a little crowded on the weekends so don't get there too late.
